Kimchi Font for Eye-Catching Campaign Designs

It was 8:45 AM, and I had a full day of campaign prep ahead. My client was launching a new line of playful children’s toys, and the visuals needed to scream fun, creativity, and energy. As I opened the design file, one thing was clear—the font choice would be the difference between a good graphic and a great one. That’s when I reached for Kimchi, a display font that felt just right for this project.

Kimchi isn’t your average typeface. It has a quirky charm with rounded edges and playful curves that instantly grab attention. The personality is unmistakable—fun, youthful, and a bit cheeky. It’s the kind of font that makes you smile before you even read the message. And in a campaign targeting kids and their parents, that kind of vibe was exactly what we needed.

I started by using Kimchi on the main headline for the product teaser: “Discover the Magic Inside.” The font’s boldness made the text stand out against the bright background, and the rounded shapes gave it a friendly feel. Next, I layered it with a clean sans serif font for the supporting text, which kept the hierarchy clear without overwhelming the reader.

For the Instagram posts, I used Kimchi as the primary font for captions and callouts. It worked perfectly for short, punchy messages like “Playtime Just Got Better” or “New Toys, New Adventures.” The font’s readability on mobile screens was impressive—even at smaller sizes, the letters stayed legible and didn’t get lost in the feed.

When designing YouTube thumbnails, I experimented with Kimchi for the title overlay. It added a sense of movement and excitement, especially when paired with animated elements. I made sure to test the font on dark and light backgrounds to ensure it stood out in different contexts. The result? A thumbnail that stopped scrollers in their tracks.

The font also played well with other typography styles. For the email banner, I paired Kimchi with a modern serif font for the body text. This combination created a nice contrast—playful yet professional. It helped reinforce the brand identity while keeping the message clear and easy to digest.

One of my favorite uses was for a quote graphic promoting the toy line. I used Kimchi for the main quote: “Imagination Has No Limits.” The font’s unique style made the message feel more personal and engaging, which was perfect for sharing on Pinterest and social media stories.

As I worked through the campaign, I made sure to check all the font details. Kimchi came with several weights and alternates, giving me flexibility for different design needs. The file formats were compatible with most design tools, and the commercial license allowed me to use it across multiple platforms without any legal hiccups.

Readability was a top priority, especially since much of the content would be viewed on small screens. I tested Kimchi in various scenarios—from thumbnails to website headers—and found that its design held up well. The spacing and proportions made it easy to scan, even in fast-scrolling feeds.

Font pairing was another key consideration. I tried Kimchi with a few different fonts, but the best match turned out to be a minimalist sans serif. This combo balanced the playfulness of the display font with the clarity of a more straightforward typeface. It worked wonders for digital ads and landing page headers.

For the final touch, I used Kimchi in the branded templates for the client’s online shop. It became a signature element across all promotional materials, reinforcing brand recognition and consistency. The font wasn’t just decorative—it helped tell the story of the brand in a way that felt authentic and approachable.

Whether it's for a sale announcement, a webinar banner, or a course launch, Kimchi brings a unique energy to every design. It works best for short headlines, callouts, and logo-style text where impact matters most. Its versatility makes it a go-to choice for campaigns that need to stand out in a crowded digital space.

So next time you're working on a campaign, consider how a font can shape the message. Kimchi isn’t just about looking cool—it’s about making your message clearer, stronger, and easier to remember. And in the world of marketing, that’s everything.
